"My stop"

The Foundation for Infrastructure and Educational Programs (RUSNANO Group) and the Paper media company present an installation integrating contemporary art into the Science Bar Hopping 2021 festival

27 May – 20 June, everyday
"My stop"

"My Stop" is an event-specific facility created specifically for the festival by the BIOROBOTY019 group. A real stop with unexpected elements and ironic announcements ("I'll edit the genome. High quality. Call") is the result of the group's reflection on the concept of the Evolution festival, dedicated to the development of scientific thought and the continuity of scientific knowledge.

It seems to the artists that in the future the standard stop for the townspeople will look like a cyber-punk object. Fully occupied with ads, it will reflect everyday life, inextricably linked to science and technology. Acting on the edge of the Science Art genre, the artists are guided by a speculative approach and create an entertaining art object with many scientific and pseudoscientific references.

"In this project, the stop acts primarily, not as a separate self-sufficient object, but as a decoration of a situation in which the viewer is invited to participate. This is a permanent expectation of a better future, the onset of which is inevitably associated with scientific achievements and breakthroughs" (BIOROBOTY019).

The stop is located at the entrance to Sevkabel Port and will be available to all visitors. On May 30, 4 lectures of scientists will be held in the bars of Red Head and Krng Corp as part of Science Bar Hopping. This is a popular science festival, during which scientists give lectures simultaneously in 16 city bars. Both the performances of scientists in bars and "My Stop" are designed to help the closed spheres of science and art open up to a wide audience.
